Portlight Window Screens

Postby Wanderlust » August 14th, 2016, 9:22 pm

Hi Fellas,

I need to replace all of the portlight mosquito screens. I ordered what I thought would work from Defender.com only to find out that they did not fit once they arrived.

Any ideas on ordering the right sizes? 1987 3227 Convertible. I have heard one guy went to the local hardware store? Do you think they'll make the screens? I've also heard that Bomar is the original manufacturer but upon inspecting their website, they only sell wholesale.

Any help on this topic would be awesome!

Thanks in advance.

I've ordered screens from Bomar for mine. If you contact Carver with your hull number, they will give you a part number. Chances are they'll be Bomar, just give them Carver's part number and they'll make them up for you. Or send Bomar an email with pics and measurements of the porthole so they can narrow down the model. I've dealt with them a few times and they've always been very helpful.
