Bilge paint

Postby Kootenaykruzer » October 10th, 2016, 4:08 pm

Good afternoon Carver folks!

Any thoughts or recommendations as to brand of bilge paint to use? Also, would one suggest applying with brush, roller or both? Looking to do a little tidy up.

There's several one part paint products out there but I prefer an epoxy or gel coating. All can be applied with a brush and roller. Epoxies and gel are more expensive but you can't beat the performance and longevity. Which ever product you go with, the surface needs to be cleaned and free of oils and other products that will contaminate the coating causing improper adhesion and curing.
