Buffing Pads for wax
I want to use the same tool to buff after I wax. What kind of pad / bonnet do I need for this purpose?
Thanks

Even better is throw out the wax and look at ceramic coatings. Wax and polymers don't last more than a few months especially on top sides.

I just heard about the ceramic thing from a buddy that is in to custom cars etc..... worth a check for sure.

$$$
It's just another coating! I'm sure there's a place for it but it doesn't last forever, and I find it too expensive. The cost is like polishing it every other year for 10 years. Unless your gel is in really bad shape to a point where it's worn down to the glass, I say don't coat it with anything. Maintain it and it'll look great for a long time......IMO.

After reading this I thought to check out this stuff and see what is what and how it is done....from what I saw it looked to be a very labour intensive cost with all the steps and materials etc.I wonder if it might not be about the same to just have the hull painted and be done with it.....I know your boat looks great, I was just commenting on what seems like a comparable cost.......
