Rudder sending unit adjustment

Ok. Had to take the shaft off and then rotate the ends to thread to match to the new length. Then put the nuts back on and tighten. It now shows perfectly straight. Seems to be fine now though I wil have to go back and check to ensure the wire connections are tight as it seems Viper is suggesting.
