Re: Carver 350 engine meter
I may look into replacing the synch module this winter and see if that corrects the engine hour riddle.
Here is a reminder of the problem.
Both engines run identical hours, confirmed with fill-ups and more importantly reading from engines with diagnostic tool.
While cruising with RPM’s same on both engines my synch gauge will randomly bounce all over. It typically will show 100% port engine. When this happens my starboard engine meter does not clock any increase. As soon as the synch guage shows ANY movement towards starboard I hear the meter clicking minutes.
If the guage shows 100% starboard, the Port meter then shows no time increase on the port.
So tachs work, and engine hour meters work as long as synch guage is not pegged to one engine or the other.
Hopefully someone else had the same issue or has any ideas other than the engine synch module.
