Looking for the right plastic bin

Postby jedwardc » March 25th, 2019, 11:42 pm

Hello everyone

Taking possession of a 1995 Carver 430 in a few weeks (If all the surveys look good!)

There's a cutout in the galley for a garbage bin, but no plastic bin. The opening is 12" long and about 8" wide.

Does anyone know the specific model number or manufacturer of a compatible bin?

Thanks In advance!

You could try to contact Carver with your boat information and perhaps they could steer you in the right direction to find who manufactured the trash can for that location. Something tells me it is pretty standard. The size of that hole looks to be similar or the same as the one in my 3007.

You might find the size you need at a place like Bed Bath and Beyond or even Walmart.

I'm curious what you find too. I think I have that exact same cutout on my 83 3607.

It looks like you could also remove material or add to the underside to match the bin size you buy if you can't purchase the exact size for that hole. Good luck...
