Fuel Flow Consumption

Postby samcrouse » May 21st, 2019, 4:14 pm

Anyone know a good source for finding the fuel flow or GPH at various RPMs?

Just looking for some ball park numbers for a 1999 Carver 504 with Cummins 8.3 engines (450) HP.

Our fuel gauges are lying to us - shocker - and I need some guidelines while I sort things out.

This should be a good place to get a feel in broad terms

When I was researching my purchase I referenced these guys because they do list rpm/speed/fuel burn in their reports. If they have your model or one close to it, you can likely obtain a report although it may cost a few bucks. It may be worth a try for the ballpark range you are seeking.

Try Boat fuel economy.com. It allows you to select your engines and provides the info you looking for.

Lots of good info in their reports in addition to the fuel specific info.....
The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.
