You're looking for a fitting that's similar to one of these: https://www.amazon.com/SEACHOICE-20991-Aluminum-Siphon-Valve/dp/B002IZKB36
The fuel line will hook up to it right at the top of the tank. Because of it's profile, it's hard to tell that it's actually there but unless it's been removed in the past, it'll be there.

There's likely a fuel filter in the generator too. Did you check it? Have you properly diagnosed and tested the fuel pump before you spend the money on a new one? How did you determine that it's not working or that the unit isn't getting fuel?

It would help if you posted the model number of the genny.

Like the previous poster stated, impossible to give meaningful advice without knowing what model you have.
Whenever I suspect a fuel system problem, the first thing i do is run the generator off a separate 1 gal tank to isolate the generator from the boat system.

6.5 cz23 has eaten 2 starters this season. Not releasing the bendix and blowing up the starter. I think its something to do with the flywheel. Havent had anyone look at it yet. Anyone faced this problem? Help! it's ok to text me Chuck 502-744-9555
