Window leak in aft cabin 1992 330

Postby 1992330aftcabin » August 21st, 2019, 6:26 pm

I have a water leak on the left side below the window, causing the fabric on the the wall to get wet in a hard rain. I think it’s a window leak any pointers on pulling and resealing would be great. Thanks.

I don't know what kind of windows you have, but before you get to changing the weatherstripping etc, have a quick look and make sure window drains ( if you have them ) are clear of debris etc. Sometimes they get clogged and the water builds up and finds its way in.
The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.

Bud, it’s the standard Taylor window. And yes the drains are clear.

Just a update, I pulled the corner trim in the aft cabin and found 5he shore power cord inlet was my leak. I resealed both inlets and leak be gone. I had some water damage to the fabric, instead of trying to clean it I replaced and updated with vinyl. Not a bad job to do just take your time.
