looking for railing supplier

Postby philryan » February 20th, 2020, 6:38 pm

Hi everyone.
I'm looking to replace the port bow rail on my boat as mine was recently damaged in a storm while on dry dock.

I have the part numbers from the parts manual, but i don't know a supplier that can source the parts.

Has anyone had any luck ordering replacement railings?

thanks
Phil

Welcome aboard Phil.

Contact Carver Service with your hull number and they should be able to provide you with supplier contact information if this is something they sourced out. You can also try and find a welder in your area that is experienced with stainless steel and boats and that will work on site. Stright-MacKay in New Glasgow NS is a marine distributor that can provide you with dealers in your area that can supply some straight stock.

I've never reached out to Carver service before. What's the best way? Their website directs me to dealers for contact information....

Thanks for the reply.

You could also try GG Schmidt and Sons, Lancaster pa.
They have been manufacturing marine hardware for well over 50 years. Any SS on Trojan and any boat boat made in Jersey (egg harbor, Silverton, etc) came from them. Not sure if Carver used them also?

Thank you guys, I'm going to reach out to these suggestions, and see if they can help. If anyone else has any ideas for suppliers, please feel free to post them! I'll post here when I get the issue resolved.

Thanks!
Phil
