Prop shafted

Postby Richvan » May 31st, 2020, 1:32 pm

I went out on my Carver yesterday and when pulling back into my slip I lost the starboard prop. I have another set of props and I have already went under the boat to verify shaft is ok and all seam to be good minus the prop. My question is although starboard motor runs CW and port runs CCW are the nuts on my shafts the same? Both right hand thread? The reason for asking is when I pull boat out of the water I would like to replace both props and both sets of nuts so the same does not happen on the port side? I assume the carter key came off which let the nuts get loose and therefore my prop went to the bottom of the lake. Does anyone know if they are the same thread?
Thanks

Yes, the threads are the same.

Are you having a diver go down and look for the prop?

What size are your props? I have an older version of that same boat
