Cable steering replacment

Postby Petemait » August 5th, 2020, 3:06 pm

Hello all,

I am replacing the steering on my 83 carver riviera. It was the original system, mechanical with a rotary helm.

I am looking to purchase the replacement as soon as possible. Does anyone have any advice on whether to get a regular steering system, aka ss13718 from seastar solutions, or do you recommend getting a system with "no feedback" which keeps the boat from wanting to veer to the right? I am sticking with mechanical steering.

Thank you in advance for the advice, cant wait to get the boat in the water...

Pete
