Shower bilge pump help santago 2767

Postby Bitchless » September 2nd, 2020, 11:36 am

New boat to me, the in line bilge pump for the shower drain and the a/c is not working. The water holding box has a float but nothing is pumping out. I have a picture attached of what I think is the pump but have found very little information on it. Is a box trap with float and pump built in an replacement an option? I will be power checking the wiring this weekend to make sure I have power to it and looking for an inline fuse. Currently the mid pump in front of the aft bedroom is also not working. Which is where the water ends up as it over flows.

Check the main breakers and the float switch. Sometimes there's a fuse down by the pump, but I think it's rare in that vintage. You can rebuild or clean those pumps too, and they are pretty reliable.

You could replace the whole thing with a new "marine shower sump". I did a thread in the Projects forum because I just changed mine.

Did one of these last month on a 1985 3607. Come to find out after replacing the float switch, one of the wires to the old float was cut, thus not telling the pump to run.
