Impeller reminder

Anything related to the operation of your boat. Steering, Bilge Pumps, thru-hulls, bottom paint, etc.

Follow up - we did remove plenty of bits and pieces and I hope these represent all that was in there. All water seems to be flowIng well. Spare gasket/O-ring not required so saving for another day.

Yikes, I wouldn't have even thought of that. Makes me think now. I figured the ports were large enough to let them pass through. I'll be checking my impellers this week! :-O

Yep, Viper is right on the button as always. You gotta find those pieces. They did not make it through the screens, so any water that does flow will just cavitate and eventually may boil. Back flush the water hose from the t-stat housing to the exit port of the water pump. Run into a pail, and there will be rubber pieces. Do it several times, and then when you reconnect, fill that hose with water before you attach to t-stat housing. 8-) er
