CARVER 42 SS 2007

Postby nordmannermarine » August 11th, 2021, 1:11 pm

I have a Carver 42 SS 2007 that needs a new side window. Does anyone know what colour tint the replacement glass should be to match the original?

We had to replace one of our windows last year and the window had to come from Great Britain. That's where they are made and we had to wait 6 weeks. If you notice there is a design around the perimeter of the window so if you want your window to match that's the only game in town to the best of our knowledge and that of the marinas we were dealing with. (We talked to 2 different marinas and they both said the same thing.
We got a piece of plexiglass cut and installed while we waited for our window to arrive.
Our boat is a 2004 466MY

Hi Curly1
Can you give me the name of the company you used? Is there any reason that you did not choose a local glazing company?

It’s tempered glass, the exact curvature couldn’t be replicated.
What year and model do you have?
I think it was Trend Marine Glass

Curly 1 must be correct. My 2007 41CMY has "Trend Tempered" on all the side windows. http://www.trendmarine.com/
