1. Replace with a smoked plastic that can be molded into the complex curves required. My concern with this approach is that it wouldn't match the other windows for tint. It would be close and I have a couple samples that were provided for matching purposes.
2. Source the original window from Taylormade, but the information I was given is that it would have to be custom ordered, come from UK, and cost over $1,000 just in shipping.
Rather than wait on the seller to address the issue, we accepted the boat with it as is and it is still on my project list to get it addressed at some point. The boat just went through hurricane Ian without issue (we're in central Florida so didn't get the full force of the storm), so it is a cosmetic item rather than a safety/security item for me.

I'd be careful with that. They're designed to take a certain amount of stress and not fail in some rough sea conditions. Should something happen and the system was modified, I doubt an insurance company would honor a claim if it failed and it came to light that an improper replacement was used.Alanna Mo Cree wrote:Source of the post....it is a cosmetic item rather than a safety/security item....

If that works for you, you could apply a thin resin to fill the cracks/consolidate what's left. Not perfect but damage control.

Mine was already shattered. We are on a small lake and river so we don't see rough sea conditions. I wouldn't take it out in anything significant as it is, and I plan to go with the correct replacement when the time comes.
