Latch repair for Exterior Compartment Doors

Postby theorifice » August 26th, 2023, 10:28 am

The latches for the compartments fail to return to center which causes the compartment doors to fly open when underway. I believe there was some sort of elastomer that had degraded over time. The interior compartments use the same latch mechanism and they function correctly.

Has anyone found a suitable method of repair? I'll probably cut some small pieces of closed cell foam or silicone to stick in them.
