Do you have v drives with the trans/drive ( no shaft between ) attached directly to the back of the engine ?

Starboard was Used oil color with some pinkish color, Port (with the alarm) was used oil color with almost no pink. Both are straight drive (no v drive).

After the flush and running, I checked both again and they are pink, no used oil color.

Ok , good........some of the shared sump v drive apps in those years used a different oem hydraulic fluid....I was just checking..... Agian good luck and P.A.C.E...... :-D
The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.

Update: the alarm came back a few weeks ago. The local Mercruiser shop couldn't figure i tout, so I hooked up the Vessel View and ran a bunch of test runs while recording the data. it turned out that the Cooling water pressure sensor was starting High with the engine off, and slowly showing a drop in pressure to zero. however you could see constant water flow out of the exhaust. so the sensor itself was failing. Apparently this is common to this sensor, and it took ordering a few to get a good one.

Once installed, it's running rock solid. having the Vessel View mobile to test this our was amazing. would never have figured it out otherwise.
