Intake Manifolds 454ci

Postby Chris86 » July 29th, 2016, 12:42 pm

Hello all! I have twin 454's on my '86 4207. Are the Edelbrock Performer intake manifolds factory stock on them? I have to replace both of them due to corrosion holes by the water temp. sending units.
Thanks!

No, they are not standard, or even offered from the engine manufacturer. My guess is someone installed them to try to get better performance out of the boat. The originals are cast iron, although I'm not sure they are still available, so you may have to go with Edelbrocks again.

Had a 4207 with big blocks.
That boat needed way more than just intake manifolds to make it right.

Still looking for a 4207 that somebody repowered with 500 cats. That would make my day.
Thanks

Been looking since we sold our 4207.

I had the pleasure of piloting an 86 4207 that was repowered with 500s.

That boat came alive.
Thanks
