Will do. :down: Also, I think my 1995 454xl mode wiring is to the ECM (engine control module) attached to riser. I believe your 1997 is connected to your ICM (ignition control module) distributor mounted that is the way Mercury wire their Delco distributor and should be closed for timing mode, that info comes from the marina mechanic. Not sure on that yet either? Could make a diff. All I know is my manual tells me to break the connection, that goes to the ECM to put in timing mode reconnect to put in run mode. Going to test next time I'm at the boat. Fuel filter will be checked if timing checks out. Should advance 29deg to 32deg.
