I believe they also are stamped in the block at the rear center above the crank. But not 100% certain.

Just to add to the above....any serial type id numbers will be stamped on machined surfaces....also try on the pads above where the circulating engine water pump bolts to the block.....
The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.
