The service kit mentioned in the bulletin you posted is the latest kit....3808318.

Having said all the above, while there is a bulletin on the box, there is no telling whether your box is deffective or intermitent, it may be that all you need is the relay. Again, that may solve the problem for years or may resurface again soon if it's indeed the box.

Okay, here we go. Recieved my new relay box. I install the relay box plus all the new isolators. Cool retrofit. Insert all connectors, go back to the helm, turn on ignition, no double beep. ???? Upset, go back to engine room and disconnect all harnesses on the box, insert, double beep. Crap. Leave alone now because every time I try it, its okay now. Proceed to go on a nice 3 hour cruise, slow mode cruise, after 2 hours, notice that the starboard engine, the one with the new box, is not working. My buddy takes the helm, run down, disconnect the harness to the box, nothing, remove the ignition relay insert, nothing. Luckly it's a very calm day. Go back to the helm, decide to go back on one motor. With my fist, not hard mind you, I tap the left side of the helm, now it double beeps!!! We all laugh, ha ha. Go back to the marina, remove the access panel under the helm. Crab wires and harnesses under the dash. Remember that this is a ghost problem, as I'm working the harness, it beeps then not. Trace the problem to the Firebouy control center box. If I push on the left side of the box, it beeps. Tried that at least 20 times. I can make it work and not. Power goes into the starboard side of the box from the ignition but not out until you press on the side of the box where the terminals are. There is an internal problem with the relays In this box. I put the wire that comes out of the relay box, for the 12v from the ignition switch, direct with the control box, and voila! Never failed now. At least I finally for the ghost in the machine.

Good for you, those issues can go on for years, glad to see it was repaired rather quickly.

Good stuff, thanks for posting , I still think you may have had two things going on though.....seem to remember another issue that was related to the fireboy system from quite some time ago......
The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.

Nothing with this before, When you push the right side of the terminal connectors toward the box, thats when the ignition connection was made. This was my ghost, sometimes on , sometimes off.

Sorry I wrote that wrong, I meant that the fireboy issue was with someone else quite a while ago, was not a Carver if I remember right .......I did not even remember it till you found yours.
