Merc suggested fuel regulator test by pulling vac hose at intake but that produced no different results. Really baffling and my mechanic just through up his hands.

You keep saying the fuel filters were changed, but I haven't seen you confirm the presence or absence of one in the Cool Fuel module which some have suggested checking. I have read some other posts where folks have had issues with that filter in the module and others that have confirmed there is no filter...so either it was removed in their cases or there are some situations where the Cool Fuel module comes equipped with one and others where it doesn't.

I'll check again but I don't think the serial number you provided came up. Can you confirm the engine serial number.

I know this is an old post but was your problem ever resolved? I have the same issue with one of my port engine. 2000 Carver 350 Mariner with 350 MAG MPI's. Boat is new to me last year and trying to figure out why my port engine wont go past 3000rpms. Thanks for any help

The OP hasn't been active here since mid March, he may not be around anymore. It may be best to start your own thread with the symptoms you're experiencing. Give us engine info and as much info about the symptoms and conditions as possible.
