Electronic Ignition

Postby RGrew176 » May 1st, 2020, 11:50 pm

This looks like the year I will finally install electronic ignition in my Carver. I am going to use my stimulus check and stimulate my mechanics pocketbook. The kit he uses includes two new distributors and coils and wiring. I am also going to have him change out the sparkplugs at the same time. The current plugs along with the points have been installed since 2015 just before I bought the boat.

As long as nothing else breaks down that is the plan.

Rick....are you having trouble with your set-up now ?
The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.

No. Would have to ask the mechanic what brand he plans to install.
