Side Shifter Istall
After marking things out, I took down the bottom paint behind the flange and as little as possible. Drilled the holes, and filled them with Silkaflex and bolted it up. Then a dab or two on top of the screws. They are all hidden behind the mounting cover. Mounted up the sideshift, and drilled for the cables to go into the hull. I am so so surprised at the sturdiness of the 2 screw mount. Now I have to place the top cover over and add the top mounting bolt. Yes, it looks a little funky (I took a lot of heat about this, trust me. I can’t see how people are saying “insurance will void you due to the ed on” it is too dangerous to use (LOl, it is used i short bursts when docking. I think I have 2 24” bronze wheels turning with 325 HP each. This little squirt has 3.5 HP a side on a 7” prop. ANYWAY, wiring will be done in a few weeks when I am at the slip. Note the comments and it looks better than it is, that cover makes a huge difference, although not on in these pictures.

Re: Side Shifter Istall
double free space propeller instead of a single in a tunnel. Interesting to hear what is more effective.
The drag before plane is a logical consideration but I think this construction is above the waterline quite quickly and thus has no effect on speed.
And on low speeds, well, the whole boat is a big lump being used to push the water away so I don't think there's much fuel economy reduction here.
Enjoy the new steering option and delete your faecesbook account, there's nothing there for real people.
