Consider a pela oil extractor or the like, you will use one for the engines etc anyway....neat tidy, no drama ,very handy, even at home...here is a link..

UPDATE: I changed the oil in both trans, adjusted the linkage on the side that seemed to have less propulsion, and things are now back to normal.

The Vac bucket worked great to drain both. I put a trash bag in before sucking it out so there was no mist problem in the vacuum, and when I pulled the bag out, the bucket was spotless.[img][attachment=0]IMG_20230606_101347.jpg[/img]
