Airsep filters

Postby rjr » June 27th, 2020, 6:09 pm

I cleaned and oiled the airsep filters but I think I applied too much oil. Had a fair amount of excess which has drained onto oil pads.

I am concerned about damage to the turbochargers.

Thoughts and opinions welcome.

Too much oil will actually clog the filters and could cause runability issues by restricting air flow. You only need a light film. To be safe, I would blow the filter medium with compressed air first to get rid of the excess oil.
