Impellor replacement on 456 port engine

Postby Bakoboat » August 12th, 2022, 8:31 am

Does anyone know the best way to access impellor on port engine (cummins 450 diamond series). (456 motor yacht). Starboard is easy and very accessible but port is away from walkway between engines. Thinking of removing cover off belt and accessing from front of engine.
Thanks

Can't answer your access question, but I have a question for you. Do your impellers have the threaded insert? What model impellers are they?

I found it easier to remove the water pump from the port side then work on the impellor between the engines. I bought a couple of bolts to remove the impellors.
