Carver Mariner 350 Cockpit Seating

Postby amanphoto » December 31st, 2016, 9:50 pm

I'm looking at the carver mariner 350. I've noticed that mariners made after 2002 have a folding bench seat that covers the access hatch in the floor. Previous years have a folding table that covers the access hatch. I like the idea of more seating around the helm. If I end up with an older model, is there a way to replace the older folding table with the newer bench seat.

Was it an option to have a seat or a table? I've only see the seat on boats newer the 2002. It seam like in 2002 they changed to helm setup from bench seats to captains chairs.

The older models had the table option, the newer ones went to the seat. Haven't you bought a carver yet? Pull the switch already!

We have a 99 with the table. I thought I would prefer the additional seating but even with the table, we easily seat 10 on the flybridge with a couple of dogs thrown into the mix. The table is great for laying out afternoon munchies and we fine the space under the table perfect for a nice bar fridge for easy access to drinks. Hard to beat the flybridge seating on a mariner.

Ours will actually be going up for sale. We have caught the dreaded sailing bug and are shopping for a stick boat ;-)
