For the few that may be interested in this project, although a boat is always a work in progress, this project has been mostly completed as well as initial commissioning and her first 1000 mile shake down cruise. I will follow this note with some pics of boat out of the barn and most pics on Eire canal.

Good stuff, that sure is quite a project you have taken on....looks good.......how did the engine work out ?.... :beergood:
The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.

First cruise, I left my home in New Paltz NY 12561 in mid September, Mid Hudson Valley on Hudson River, north to Albany NY and made a left turn on the Eire canal, the conditions were perfect, the tree color spectacular all the way to Tonawanda NY some 365 miles west. The numbers are, economy cruise speed (hull speed) 6.1 mph, 8.4 MPG, the boat is very quite and virtually devoid of any vibration this made me very happy. my cruise rpm is 1800 rpm, max rpm now is 2600, i may increase max rpm this year during test I plan to do, anything over 1800 the boat makes a big hole in the water and a large wake. three days out I lost the generator first thing in morning when I turned on the stove and coffee pot (dam), I was prepared for such a problem and broke out my butane single burner stove, great stove! I also have a power inverter that handled my coffee pot for the next three weeks, generators main purpose was for the AC and not needed in northern NY in Sept/ October. Hot water from engine circuit as well as cabin heat, both worked perfect for trip, my lower helm seat is great! well thats enough for now, hope you enjoy my rambling! :captain2:

The engine worked perfect , smooth, quite did not use any oil for two hundred hours of running! engine oil is still almost the color int was when I put it in, all 14 quarts of it! Generator blew its large capacitor on day three but it has been replaced and works as it should, smooth and quite! :usa:
