New Carver owner

Postby Rog-87Mariner » December 9th, 2017, 2:52 pm

Howdy all!!! Glad to find this site as I am a new Carver owner. Been a boater all of my life.
My parents recently passed away, 6 months apart.
They left us an '87 Carver Mariner. Need manual that fits that boat as I cannot find theirs as of yet.
Have questions on removing contents of septic tank. Yes, there is stuff in there. Tried the other day and couldn't get it to work. Probably missing one small detail. Familiar with motor home systems, can;t be much different. Can someone help please?? Tried to download manual thru this site but it wants me to download software I am not familiar with by name and don't trust strange software. Thank you,

Rog

Welcome Rog....sorry for your loss.....if you could post the boat size that might help......there should be a deck fitting marked waste and that would be where the pump out goes, unless you have overboard discharge as well.......see if you can take a pic to help the guys familiar with your boat help with what you are asking about.
The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.

Welcome aboard.

We have an 87 3697 mariner.

Pump out is through the fitting labeled waste.
It is illegal to have overboard discharge in inland waters, and is illegal to discharge within three miles of shore in the ocean.

I believe you can download the manual on the carver boats website. I think.
Thanks
Fred

You can find the Carver owner's manuals at this link: http://www.carveryachts.com/customer-service/. Sometimes the name of the download file doesn't precisely match the model number of the boat so you might have to try a few of them to find the right one. You can also contact their customer service directly using that site. They're normally very responsive.
