Welcome to CYO! My partner and I have a 310 Santego that we got almost a year ago. We are looking (already) at the 98 and later 380 Santego for the next step. LOVE the space in the Santego line...and Carvers in general.

We Di too. We purchased our primarily because of the salon being at one level. Our knees can't take too many steps which most boats have steps everywhere. Where are you located? We are always looking to meet new folks in the San Diego area interested in boating excursions.

We are in Ohio on Lake Erie at the only marina in the world with it's very own amusement park...not only that, it's voted as the best amusement park in the country 17 years in a row! Cedar Point Amusement Park!

Someone told me that the earlier mid-late 80s 38 Santegos were much larger than later 38 Santegos. Any truth to this?
Thanks

The 38 Santego was built on the 38 Aft Cabin hull. The 380 Santego was built on the 34 Santego/ 35 Montego hull. The 38 is 14' wide while the 380 is 13'2" wide. Overall length on the 38 is approximately 2 to 3 feet longer. It is a MUCH bigger boat inside and out, but also slower and way less fuel efficient (as if that matters on a boat)
