Toilet upgrade

Postby AaHubb » May 7th, 2018, 10:35 am

Hey all. I am contemplating replacing the toilet in the aft head of my 404. The original Raritan uses a lot of water to flush so the 18gal tank fills quickly. Looking at a Masterflush or maybe a Vacu flush system. Anybody have real world experience doing this kind of upgrade?

Replacing with another all in one electric toilet will be the easiest thing to do and least expensive. There are some benefits to the Vacuflush however that you can't get with any electric toilet. The drawback is that it's a more expensive system and is way more labour intensive to install properly. It's the best type of system though (vacuum) in my opinion.

We installed a Raritan Elegance electric head last summer. No separate tank like a vacuflush, simple to install, quick flushing and little water. Go read some reviews; we love it.

I really like the Raritan, thanks for the 'heads'up on it Tommyfmu. Looks to be a great unit with low water usage, ease of install and less expensive.
Thanks guys!
