There are chrome surrounds in the drawer. I have removed them in this project. At first the leak appeared to come from the brass colored nuts that were on top of the surrounds. I removed them to make sure I was getting a good bite on the exposed nipples.

No worries, it will be properly trimmed out at the end!

The "emblem" as mentioned serves 2 purposes, 1 it's a cap to hide the allen screw which secures the handle in place and 2 it shows with direction is hot and cold blue being cold and red hot. ;-)

Currently it shows red being leaking, blue being not leaking. :-P
