What relay is this? It controls the power for the A/C units

Postby jwrape » April 22nd, 2014, 8:31 am

both of my A/C units do not get power. I have traced the 120v to this relay in the pic. Looks like the left one has been replace but the right one is the one that is keeping the power from my A/C Units.
What are they and where do I find them?

EDIT: I found out that they are Deltrol 9548 relays.... I found some on Ebay New Old Stock. I guess they are not made anymore.

Those are auto switches for the shore power to generator disengage. When the generator starts, the boat automatically switches over to it so you don't have to turn a switch to get gen power

Ah.... So I guess it's stuck in Generator mode because it won't take the power from the shore.

I replaced both relays and have an issue with the left relay when I turn on the Salon AC Unit. It pops and sparks like fireworks.
BUT the A/C unit works perfectly fine on shore power, just not generator.
Is there a upgrade for these relays. I know they aren't made anymore so maybe they make something a little better.
