Getting ready to buy a 1986 3207. When it's surveyed anything in particular to look for? Any thing else I need to know? Boat has very low hours and appears to be in very good shape

Good luck with your purchase. There are other 3207 owners here that will be able to assist you. I have the smaller sister boat a 3007. A lot more room in the 32. Hope it goes well.

Survey went well all major systems functioning perfectly only found a few piddling things wrong. Sea trial was a blast. Picking up tomorrow after a couple of hours instruction by the previous owner. I'm sure I will have lots of questions for the board

Great news. As far as questions go, ask away. Someone here will be able to assist. Good luck with your Carver.

Congratulations and welcome aboard. The crew here are a great bunch, always eager to help, so don`t hold back. You may want to go to your profile and add what part of the country you`re from, for some replies, that`s important to know.

Oh, and we like pictures ;-)

Welcome to the forum and Carver....my experience is that no matter how new or how well loved, you are working on something..... :-D ........ :beergood:
The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.

Hey guy's. Maybe I'm missing something but I would swear that the surveyor had both engine covers up. I can't figure out how that is possible. I can't see any way but to do one at a time with out removing the sleeper.

In my 3007 there is only room enough to open one of the engine covers at one time. On the starboard engine I remove the chair and table to access the engine room. If I want to access the port side totally I have to slide the sofa sleeper over to the starboard side of the salon. I can open 1/2 of the port side engine room with the sofa in place but that's it.

I would think your setup is somewhat similar to mine.
