2005 444 CPMY fuel guages

Postby extraextra » October 18th, 2018, 9:46 am

At the helm there are 4 fuel gauges representing the 4 fuel tanks. 2 are on the dash gauges and 2 are above the "regular gauges" and are separate gauges at the top of the helm by themselves (one on each side above the steering wheel).
Which gauges refer to what tank? I am looking at purchasing a 2005 444 and can't seem to find the answer.

I have a 2006 Carver 44 CMY. On my vessel the two gauges on the dash cluster are for the Port and Starboard tanks that are mid ship. The two that are in front of the dash cluster, closer the windshield, are for your aux. tanks and show the fuel level on the side that they are on.

I have a 2003 444 with the same gauge setup. There are 2 122 gal main tanks that are located next to each of the engines. Those tanks use the gauges located with the main dashboard instruments. On mine they are with the eng temp, oil pressure and voltage gauges. In addition there are 2 80 gal auxiliary tanks that are located in the aft corners of the boat. Those tanks use the gauges located on the dashboard above and to each side of the main instrument cluster.

Thanks to both of you for your responses. It was a big help, nothing in the manual with that info. Looking to close sometime next week!

I know this is a very old post... I just purchased a 2005 Carver 44. I'm looking to fix or update the RPM gauge on the starboard engine. The LCD isn't working well enough to see it. Any idea what brand gauges are on the Carver 44's?

I would get some good close-up pictures of the gauge, as it could have been used on many other models and other years, then post them up with the question in a new thread which may garner many more eyes.

You can also get the LCD (eve) rebuilt for about $500
