C-Tow marine assistance

Postby bud37 » January 12th, 2019, 4:40 pm

Has anyone had any experience , good or bad with C-Tow and their services on Georgian Bay or anywhere for that matter.I think they may only be in Canada, but not totally sure. We are thinking of signing up for this year as the plans are to get off the dock this year.... ... :beergood:

We have Sea Tow here in the states. Pretty much the same as boat US. Signed up for their program a couple years in a row a few years back when we didn't have a nearby Boat US service. No problems.

They are in full service up here in Alaska now too. Last year was the first I saw them. Plenty of business for them up here, haha. I've heard good things about them.

You've got SeaTow or BoatUS. It all depends on the local operator and where they are located in relation to your boating waters. For me, SeaTow may be the better choice but for you, BoatUS may work better. Ask around locally.

Bud, they have a booth at the boat show. Check it out when you go down.

Sorry for reviving this...I'm looking into signing with C-Tow.

It doesn't look bad at $100 yearly, 2 tows per year included plus extra services at nominal prices. Would like to know what the OP (or anyone who has experience with them) thinks about them. Thank you!

Third try to post. rolleyes. Year b4 last in the 1000 island I called them bc engine wouldn't start at the dock on a Natl Park island. They had no official C-tow boats within 50 miles but within a few hours they arranged a tow with a local boater freelancer. He did a good job getting me back to the marina. So although I was annoyed at first, they worked it out for me. I have kept up my subscription.
