New 3807 Owner

Postby dkasprzak » July 15th, 2014, 3:07 pm

I am closing in two weeks on (soon to be mine) a 1991 3807. Have been an owner of various types of boats both power and sail for the last 30 years and am looking forward to this particular boat. Basic specifications are:

Name - Sol Mates
Power - 6BTA Cummins
Gen - 8 KW Kohler

Basic electronics and standard Carver setup.

I was really excited to find a diesel powered 3807 and this particular vessel has an absentee owner so it is in need of a good scrub down inside and out. Other than that she is good to go, she is currently located in Port Aransas, TX and will be moving to Galveston, TX via the GCICW. If anyone on the forum has made that trip I would appreciate communicating with you.

Thanks and looking forward to interacting on the forum.

Dave

Welcome!
A 3807 with diesels should be a very nice ride.
Thanks

Thanks Fred,

As soon as I get it to Galveston and cleaned up I'll post some before and after pictures. The video of firing the engines on "Plain Vanilla" was very interesting!! Awesome vessel......
