Went back to the boat today and the helm ice maker was gushing water all over the helm coming down to cockpit and then draining out. My first “situation”. I turned off water at dock and found a busted water line. Sunday evening and homedepot was closing but I was able to get a crushwasher. However, after fitting all in, I found out that rubber washer was leaky too. Now we wait until morning- water is still off but I’m enjoying the ac’s Working while I’m there.

Still no solution to water in port tank. I dunno how much water is in there. I am inclined to put gas treatment and try to start that engine again. Don’t know who here is capable of pumping gas out of tanks. It was on E before I put in 5 gal of 93 octane and needle barely moved to above E. Just don’t want to get in trouble with gasoline and law.

This may be obvious at this point ....but for all, good practice is, to never leave the dock water on and pressurized when you are away from the boat...good you caught it.....

Bud37. Thanks - today made me wonder about that (leaving water on, all the time).

I am new to this, and I learned a valuable lesson today.

Also, don't leave the ac running when not at boat.
If anything in the ac cooling system breaks, you'd better hope the bilge pumps keep running and keep working.
Thanks

Wellllllllll! Okay! I left them running today to make sure all three work overnight before I pay the AC guy. I'll turn them off after I visit the boat next time.

Great News. After removing about 4 gallons of watery gas mix from port, now I am getting straight gas and engine running smooth. Added 10 gallons of fresh fuel to port and stabilizer to both tanks. Changed engine oil on both engines with new filters and they purr like a kitten. Now I am in a position to go get some GAS from the fuel dock about 1/4 mile away. I just need to fix this icemaker leak (Minor - I have to replace old rubber gasket in the intake part of hose). Unfortunately, my help spilled one of the used oil filters on a part of my carpet so mission today is to go clean that. I live an hour and a half away so it's very hard on me especially with my recent heart bypass surgery last May. I have to sit on the floor to scrub as I cannot bend down yet. Hoping dawn and mild degreaser will do it. I do have a wet/dry vac. I will give it a good shot today. :captain2:
