New Carver owner, too small for this group?

Postby CTaylorJr » May 22nd, 2015, 8:58 pm

Just bought a 1986 Carver 2896 Mariner and loving it!

This one is declared a mini yacht, but she is a sweet piece of work.

I have her docked at a marina on lake Ray Hubbard inTexas.

Not sure what all to satay at this point.

Definitely not too small. Many of those boats up here on Lake Erie. I have the next size up, the 32 Convertible. The mid to late 80's 28 Mariner is a great boat.

Welcome! And NO Carver is too small for this group...as long as it's a Carver! We encourage Carver owners to join...from the early runabouts to current production models! Post pics of your boat when you get a chance!

Thanks for the welcome folks!

Here's a picture of what I believe will be my new passion in life. She needs a little work, but mostly cosmetic.

The bimimi is now blue, and all of the vinyl has been replaced with new as well.

Thanks waybomb, this far, we are loving it. I have a few things to fix up, and a few mysteries to solve, but she's working for me right now!

I'll get more pics this coming weekend and plan to take many before and after pics as we move forward.

We started with a 2807 carver. You will be up to a 50 footer in no time!
2 footitis will set in and there is no cure. Other than buying additional boats instead of bigger. Scotch and cigars does not cure the disease!!!!!!
Thanks
