Spent Some Time On The Boat

Postby RGrew176 » November 13th, 2015, 2:02 am

Yesterday I went down to my boat to remove some stuff that has to come home so it won't freeze. I am on the hard but I brought my Honda portable generator and powered up one of the onboard electric heaters. Cozy onboard with the heat. Probably one more trip to remove the TV and then I will be ready for shrinkwrap.

Back on the boat yesterday. Removed my bimini top and finished prepping the boat for shrinkwrap. Hope to get the shrinkwrap done this upcoming week. Winter will soon be upon us.

I drove down to the boat Wednesday to remove some stuff such as the TV and other things I don't want to leave aboard for the winter. It will probably be the last time onboard until spring.

I am shooting for an early April launch too. I only have to touch up a couple or three spots on the hull with bottom paint in the spring. Hope we get some 60* days in March so I can touch up the bottom paint.

I am shooting for April 2nd but anytime during the first 15 days of April will be OK with me.

Yep, its a good possibility we will see some of the white stuff. It is that time of year. I am hoping that the El Nino will give us a more mild winter as El Ninos have done in the past. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what winter brings. :-D

In St Joe, there are a number of material docks. I have never seen more salt delivered than what is there now. I think we are in for a bad one; they usually run out of salt in March. There is at least 7 shiploads sitting there, where usually 2-3 loads.
Thanks
