Just purchased 1986 Mariner 32

Post by Renegade15 »

My name is Ryan, my wife and I just purchased our first cruiser, been on the water since I was a fetus though!
We are based out of the Gulfport Municipal Marina in Gulfport, FL. We live in St Petersburg.
Any other locals, don't hesitate to give a shout sometime, we'll be out and about a lot hopefully!
The boat is named North Star, black canvas and a compass rose on the transom.
Happy floating!

Good looking boat and a good looking couple!

Welcome aboard. You're going to love that Mariner, really nice layout. What is she powered by? Do you have any rough performance or fuel burn observations to share yet?

Thanks!
RegalBeagle, she has Crusader 270hp/350 cid motors. The layout is what had us looking specifically for a Mariner and the condition of this one, which is great, had us sold. No clue on fuel burn/performance numbers yet. The previous owner didn't really keep track. We only had to move about 16 miles Sunday to our marina. I'll start keeping track, or maybe I won't want to!!! Thought about a flowscan, but we know it's going to burn a lot, we want to enjoy our time on the water and that's what is important to us. I'll post up again with some numbers some time down the road.
Cheers!

Had a Floscan on our 4207 and now on the 3697. A few degrees of trim or a few rpm can save a ton of fuel. In both cases had the gps enabled units.
Thanks
