What Is This

Postby RGrew176 » April 24th, 2016, 4:42 am

Below are a couple of pictures of something on my 1981 3007 Aft Cabin. I have 2 of them. One is located in the main salon. The other is located outside on the bridge. What are they and what are they used for?

I've not seen those before, but they look like some sort of 12V power connector. Something a previous owner installed, I'm sure.

Well, there are a couple at least here who own a 3007 Aft Cabin. Hopefully they will chime in as to whether or not they have this on their boat.

It looks like the connection point for the analog/digital interface discrete remote for the optional turbo encabulator. I think the turbo encabulator was a limited-time option on the 1981 3007 aft cabin:

I am pretty sure it is the connection point for a flux capacitor.

I won't use the finger but I may try my electrical tester to see if there is any voltage coming from the thingy.

Sorry,
But it looks like a right hand biskle fig nut for adjusting the muffler bearings.

We are getting punchy up here..... perhaps it was the 2cm of wet snow that fell yesterday :banghead:
