Where is the filter for the waste holding tank on 1988 Santiago?
We are looking to change the filter/cartridge to eliminate odor when flushing the head. Last thing to try, new head, new duck valve routine cleaning and pump out. We believe the holding tank is under the forward berth, assuming there must be a filter between head and holding tank. Could not find any information in the manual.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
ADDubo

One of the reasons for the odor can be there is not enough air getting into the tank to break things down so to speak. Be sure the vent line is clear as a start and try not to have any odd chemicals put in the holding tank. Flush the tank a few times to get a good start. The no flex is a different product.
There is lots of good info on line about the proper use and maintenance of marine toilet systems so you can enjoy your boat better.....good luck with your new boat.
