I replaced mine and when I did I reconfigured the compartment a bit. I used a slightly smaller tank (IIRC, 32 gal vs the 40 gal stock) only because I could get them really inexpensively via greatlakesskipper. I think there's pictures in the 'projects' forum. I also removed the fixed panel towards the steps down to the galley and added hinges so it could be opened and that new extra area used for storage.
