Hello everyone. I'm Elliott. I purchased a 1993 Carver 390 with Crusader 454 engines about 6 months ago. This a new chapter for me. I have always had high performance center consoles primarily just for fishing. I can see that there is a wealth of knowledge being passed around here that I will need to take advantage of with a bit of a learning curve here. I look forward to talking other members and want to thank you for having this site up and running.

Welcome Aboard. You're right, much knowledge here and all are willing to share. Best of luck with your Carver.

Hi everyone, I'm Joe from the Kansa City metro area. I'm completely new to yachting but very interested in buying. We've been learning for a few months. Based on our budget, we are probably going to Look for a 53 or 57 voyager around 2000-2005 yr range. I'm wondering if anyone has information on ballpark figure for transportation costs. We would be looking to be our boat on a freshwater lake here in the Midwest in SW Missouri/NW Arkansas. Thanks in advance. Appreciate everyone's input here as I've been following for a couple months.

Hey Joe, Welcome aboard!!

That's a BIG boat for a first boat!! Other than the Ozarks, what good-sized lakes are down there for a boat that size?

That's Big first boat. A strong suggestion, take all the US Power Squadron courses. You may not need the advanced courses, but knowledge is power.
Thanks
