2005 360 SS Cockpit Deck

Postby boatdave » August 24th, 2015, 2:50 pm

After my cockpit drain fix, I'm still getting a little water in the bilge from the cockpit deck when it's being washed. Looks like the only way to fix is removing the screws and lifting the deck. The game plan is for 2 of us to be underneath the deck. One lifting a section with our shoulder and the other placing a 2x4 between the deck and the cap until the hole deck is fully raised. Will get to inspect the gasket and hopefully a good clean and some good silicone sealer(don't want to use anything to make it a pain if I have to lift it again. Only 4 small areas but I don't like any water in the bilge and won't rest till it's done. Will try and post some pic's as it should be interesting.....

Thanks for your post. I'm a relatively new owner of a 2004 360SS. Only one of the two cockpit drains is passing water. Looking for some advice. Should I go after the hoses as you posted or go right for lifting the floor? I did not see any information as to how that worked out for you.
Thanks,
Dick

Hi all,
I just sold my 360 and had the same issues. First.... the 2 drains have the "screen holes" in them which we removed as they were very easily clogged and cannot access them from the topside which was a very poor design. We also unscrewed the deck and did the same method of having 2 below to lift. My gasket was off in a few spots which guessing from initial installation. All has been fine since.
