Starport Marina Ontario

Postby Midnightsun » August 22nd, 2020, 12:36 pm

We stayed at Starport Marina several years back and purchased some Govino glasses with the Starport name and logo on them. We have either broken or lost most of them and are down to 1. My wife asked me to buy more so I ask of forum members as I know there is a least 1 who has his boat there. If these are still available with the logo, can you pick up 8 of them and ship to me? Will pay in advance obviously.

We have tried their site but to no avail. Happy wife, happy life. :help:

Hans, I am going there on Thursday to visit friends. I can stop by on the way to my boat. There is also a Starport across the channel from me. If you see they have them, just let me know. I will also check the Port Severn location and keep an eye out for you.

I am back home now so no can do until next week. :captain2:

If you are not familiar with Govino glasses they are simply the best on a boat IMHO. Super lightweight, made of thin plastic which is so clear you believe it is glass. They are dishwasher safe not that many of us have dishwashers on board. The really nice feature of them is the indent for you thumb which makes them very easy to hold. The only difference with the ones at Starport is they have a customized logo on them which is rather nice. https://govino.com

Are you looking for the wine glass, either the shorter or taller clear one?

We ran into the inventor/owner of Govino about 5 years ago aboard his 52' Sabre at lock#6 on the Trent Severn Waterway. He gave my wife and I each a glass that we cherish to this day, we love the recessed thumb hold!

Midnightsun, yes a picture would be nice. I was in Starport, Port Severn last weekend and had a look but didn't see any wine glasses. If it is the one with the thumb hold, I can have another look, just not sure what you are looking for. Would be glad to assist you.
