Rear Sliding Cabin Door
I have a 1995 Carver 355 and the rear sliding acrylic door is getting hard to open or close.
I have tried spraying a dry lube on the top and bottom tracks. That seemed to help for a while bit now it is getting so my wife sometimes can't open it to leave the boat. That is not a good situation.
Does someone have any info on removing and repairing this thing so it will be easier to operate?
Thanks for any help and advice you may give.

Re: Rear Sliding Cabin Door
Anyway, one day I really got to looking at the door and the slides and realized something was out of whack with the bottom slide. I don't recall exactly what the problem was, but I worked on it and the door is better...not great, but better. Enough that the admiral doesn't complain.
Also, not sure about a 355, but on my 356, there is a knob on top of the door you can use to secure the door to keep it from sliding in heavy seas. If you have that knob, try playing with it to make sure it is in the loose setting.

Re: Rear Sliding Cabin Door
I guess you can remove the top slides and then lift the door out of lower tracks?
I will search for earlier threads on this subject if I can figure out how.
Thanks

Especially look at your bottom slide. IIRC, my slide was missing a screw or two and the door wasn't properly seated in the slide. You have to look hard to see the problem.
